AN ORAL CARE PRODUCT DEMO THAT TAKES INSPIRATION FROM THE BEAUTY SPACE.
Colgate required an animated 15-20 second product technology video and a hero key visual, to relaunch a toothpaste in Taiwan.
We aimed to produce a product technology visualization video and Key Visual that romanticised the Colgate sensitive range and the science it harnesses.
The core of this demo is the Amino Acid molecule, which is stylized as an iridescent bubble containing an amine group. These molecules showcase pattern-forming behaviour and pack to form a barrier that soothes teeth sensitivity.
The Process:
3D Modeling and Motion Design
Look Development: Developed various visual styles for the amino acid molecules. Created a soothing and elegant colour palette inspired by beauty products. Explored different animations to show the molecules forming a protective barrier.
Animation Techniques: Fluid simulation was used to demonstrate the formation of the protective layer. Implemented particle effects to depict the soothing action on sensitive teeth. Employed high-detail 3D modelling for the tooth surface, highlighting microscopic relief.
Motion Tests and Pack Shots: Conducted multiple motion tests to perfect the animation sequences. Created detailed pack shots showcasing the product packaging.
