Team Best and Wondermerk create a larger-than-life retail music video for Cell C
This TV spot needed to shift effortlessly between a variety of interesting scenes, mingling Bonang’s beauty and the lifestyle of Cell C. Wondermerk needed to make the video pop, bringing elements to life by creating everything from Lamborghini’s and social media iconography to a gameshow stage.
The aim of the spot was to showcase how a data bundle allows one to live anywhere and have access to multiple places simultaneously. To be living the maxim of a digital life, one could be anywhere living out one’s dream life and these events are expressed through social interactions.
To demonstrate this pattern forming behaviour on a granular level, we run particle simulations that are subject to variables in proximity, density and external world forces.
These particle simulations react and adapt accordingly, just like a self-organised system.
We demonstrate this by creating a single articulated asset with a set of pre-determined actions, which is then instanced and simulated to display flocking, shoaling or swarming behaviour.
After Effects must have keyframes selected from one layer in order to export them as text.
